Introduction:

  • Briefly discuss the importance of salvation and why it’s a foundational belief for Christians.
  • Define key terms related to salvation, such as grace, faith, repentance, and justification.

Part 1: The Problem of Sin

  • Read Romans 3:23 and discuss what it means to fall short of the glory of God.
  • Read Romans 6:23 and discuss the consequences of sin.
  • Discuss why it’s important to understand the problem of sin in order to understand salvation.

Part 2: The Solution: God’s Grace

  • Read Ephesians 2:8-9 and discuss how salvation is a gift of God’s grace.
  • Read Titus 3:5 and discuss how salvation is not based on our own works, but on God’s mercy.
  • Discuss the concept of prevenient grace and how it prepares us to receive God’s gift of salvation.
